Michael Rostock-Poplar

Michael is a founding partner of the company. In last five years Michael completed a number of cross-border M&A projects and advised on several private equity investments. Before founding Venture Investors in 1999, he worked as a legal counsel for WoodCommerz. Prior to that he participated on the first issue of eurobonds in the CEE region (the issuer was the Czech power company ČEZ). He also worked for PPF (First Privatization Fund), where he took part in the preparation of several privatization projects in Russia and Bulgaria. He is also a member of the supervisory board of iMall, large online retailer and a member of the advisory board of Tuesday Business Network.

Michael studied Law at Charles University in Prague and went on to pursue graduate studies at St Anthony's College, Oxford (Soros scholar) and Hughe's Hall, Cambridge (Chevening Scholar), where he obtained his masters degree in law (focus on corporate finance law). He specialized in securities and exchanges law and regulation of financial markets. He founded and presided the Central European Society at Cambridge University.

Michal speaks Czech, English, Russian and Polish. Among projects he worked on recently there were several sell mandates from IT and telecommunications companies, acquisition of private University and work for Western European Private Equity funds on the acquisition of Czech Telecom.

Jakub Křížek

Jakub started his professional path by working for international car suppliers. Then he participated on several fund-optimizing projects for German and Czech banks. During his studies he cooperated with controlling advisory company on preparations of papers. Jakub joined VI CF in 2005. He worked on several projects in IT, internet, media, transportation and engineering sector. His last transaction was the acquisition of Czech bus operator by the British strategic investor. Jakub is graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, where he specialized in Corporate Finance and Managerial Information Systems. He studied also the Univerzität zu Köln CEMS MIM, the program focused on international management. Jakub speaks Czech, German and English.

Milan Hužvár

Before joining VI CF Milan worked for a Big Four company as an analyst in Consulting department where he participated on projects in telecommunication, transportation and government sector. Milan specialized in financial and cost analyses, IT optimization processes, best practice implementation. He started his professional life in e-business and market analyzes. Within VI CF Milan has worked on various transactions in software, IT services and transportation sector.

Milan studied at the University of Economics in Prague, majoring in Enterprising and Law with minor in Accounting and Financial Management. He has also spent a year on a work-and-study programe in Russia. Milan speaks Czech, Slovak, English, German and Russian.

Robert Lukášek

Robert specializes in tax and financial consulting for starting and growing companies. He is a partner of Tax Reform, a company focused on accounting and tax consulting. The company closely co-operates with VI CF.

Robert studied at University of Economics and has ten years experience as an accounting and tax consultant. Until 1999 he worked at Private Investors as the head of the tax and financial department. He speaks Czech, English and German.

Eduard Míka

Eduard in his previous capacity started IT services company APP Group, on of the high-end IT companies in the Czechoslovakia. Since 1994 he was the company’s CEO. After selling the business to strategic investors in2002, Edvard spends his time as private investor, investing in promising, fast growing companies. Eduard also acts as a Chairman of the supervisory board of iMall, large online retailer and consults on freelance basis with other entrepreneurs.

Jiří Vančura

Jiri graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. He is major in Business Administration and minor in Business Valuation. He spent 6 months studying at Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona, Spain. Within his studies he specialized in Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, Valuation of Businesses and Financial Markets. Jiri speaks Czech, English and Spanish. Within VICF Jiri participated on projects in construction, transportation, retail and financial services.
